Chris Beckett wins!
Okay, I know I'm a few days late with this, due to technical problems outwith my control and knowledge (I know that covers just about everything), but Chris Beckett, one of the best and most thought-provoking science fiction writers around, and author of two very different novels in 'The Holy Machine' and 'Marcher' which was highlighted in a previous 'The Now' has won the Edge Hill prize for his short story collection 'The Turing Test', published by Elastic Press, despite stiff competition from a Booker Prize winner, and a couple of Booker Prize runner-ups. More details can be found here.
