Slaves to Gravity and The Gutter Twins hit town
It is like a sort of the wit of the staircase deal, but no sooner do I post my albums of the year, I remember Slaves to Gravity and their album 'Scatter the Crows', which featured in Kerrang's albums of the year, in fact they won a Kerrang award as best newcomer in 2008. if you like grunge, you will like them, heavily influenced by Soundgarden, methinks.

And while I am moaning about the lack of touring by The Gutter Twins, I learn they are actually playing Oran Mor, In Glasgow on Thursday night - arghhhhh, because I can't make it as we are going to see some African geezer at Celtic Connections who is playing a sort of African lute, which might have been a forerunner of the banjo. Sorry, guys, maybe next time.
